Stretches

Unlike singing, playing a musical instrument is not natural. Holding an instrument -- often in positions that uses muscles we may not use in our daily routines -- can create fatigue. Stretching and strengthening the muscles used for specific instruments optimizes practice sessions, rehearsals, and performances. 

 

To prevent muscles from getting tired and stiff, click here for stretches we recommend before each practice session and performance.
