Registration for the
Summer 2025 Session

Parents and guardians of aspiring musicians are invited to register for the following:

*Please note that students can be enrolled concurrently in private lessons and in either a CSA String Instrument Class or Small Ensemble.

CSA String Instrument Classes

We offer two different sessions during the summer:

​​

  • A ten-week Summer Session for new students

  • A fourteen-week Spring/Summer Session for returning students

​

Students may enroll in either classes or small ensembles, depending on their amount of experience.

Classes for

New Students

The Summer 2025 Session for new students will begin on June 8, 2025, and conclude with CSA class and small ensembles performances on August 24, 2025.

Below is the schedule for the Summer 2025 Session. To register, click on a class level:*

Classes for Level I:

Violin/Viola: 1:00-1:30

Cello/Bass: 1:00-1:30

Class for Level II:

1:00-1:30

During the Summer Session, the CSA classes for new students will meet on the following Sundays:

​

  • June 8

  • June 22

  • June 29

  • July 13

  • July 20

  • July 27

  • August 3

  • August 10

  • August 17

  • August 24

​

Excluded dates: June 15, July 6

​

Please note: There is no audition requirement to enroll and start classes. However, we will need a 2-3 minute recording so that we may accurately place new students. If you are unable to submit a recording, send an email, and we will set up a short Zoom meeting.​​​​

Returning Students

The Spring/Summer 2025 Session for returning students will begin on

April 27, 2025, and conclude with CSA class and small ensembles performances on August 24, 2025.

​​During the Spring/Summer Session, the CSA classes for returning students will meet on the following Sundays:

Register for the CSA Small Ensembles

Small Ensembles consist of groups of two (duets), three (trios), or four (quartets) students. In Small Ensembles, there typically is one student per part.

​

Students possess an advanced level of playing with peers with a highly trained ear.

​

Rehearsal time: Sundays, to be determined

Register for CSA Private Lessons

Private lessons offer students an opportunity to work one-on-one with their own teacher.

 

In private lessons, students work on solos and specific playing techniques.

 

At the end of every session, students have the opportunity to perform in a recital in Fox Hall in the MSUM Roland Dille Center for the Arts.

The Spring/Summer 2025 Session for returning students begins the week of May 5.

(Please note: New students who are registered for piano lessons may be added to a waiting list.)

 

Lesson times are scheduled by the student's teacher and parents/guardians.

Permission Slips and Waiver Forms

Both of the following forms need to be signed by the parents/guardians of each CSA student. Please turn in signed forms to your child(ren)'s teacher.

 

  • Please note that hard copies also are available at your child(ren)'s first lesson.

  • These forms need to be filled out one time only. 

Where does the CSA meet?

The CSA meets at the Roland Dille Center for the Arts on the Minnesota State University Moorhead campus. Parking is available on the east side of the building.
