The Spring 2026 Session

will begin the week of January 11, 2026 and

conclude the week of April 26, 2026.

Parents and guardians of aspiring musicians are invited to register for the following:

*Please note that students can be enrolled concurrently in Private Lessons and in Small Ensemble Coaching Sessions.

Violins

The Community School for the Arts (CSA) is proud to offer specialized coaching sessions to music students who are preparing for auditions, competitions, and special performances or for students who simply want to play in a small ensemble.

Small Ensembles consist of two, three, or four students who play together. Each student has their own part in duets (two players), trios (three players), and quartets (four players). In these ensembles, there is no conductor; instead, students learn how to play with each other under the guidance and artistry of a teacher. Skills learned in playing in small ensembles apply to those needed to play in chamber orchestras and in larger symphony orchestras.

Please note: There is no audition requirement to enroll and start rehearsals. However, we will need a 2-3 minute recording so that we may accurately place new students. If you are unable to submit a recording, send an email, and we will set up a short Zoom meeting.

Private lessons offer students an opportunity to work one-on-one with their own teacher.

In private lessons, students work on musical literacy and specific playing techniques.

At the end of every session, students have the opportunity to perform in a recital in Fox Hall in the Minnesota State Moorhead Roland Dille Center for the Arts.

Lesson times are scheduled by the student's teacher and parents/guardians.
