Registration for the
Winter 2023-2024 Session
Parents and guardians of aspiring musicians are invited to register for the following:

*Please note that students can be enrolled concurrently in private lessons and either a CSA String Instrument Class, Chamber Orchestra, or Wind Ensemble.

When will the CSA String Instrument Classes and Chamber Orchestra meet?
The Winter Session will begin on
December 3, 2023 and conclude with CSA class performances and a Chamber Orchestra concert on February 18, 2024.

During the Winter Session, the CSA classes and Chamber Orchestra will meet on the following Sundays:

Register for the CSA Chamber Orchestra
The CSA Chamber Orchestra is for violin, viola, cello, and string bass students who maintain the basic functions of playing with their peers and can fully read music. Students will learn how to follow a conductor.

Register for the CSA Wind Ensemble
The Wind Ensemble is for students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades who play woodwind (flute, clarinet, and bassoon), saxophone, brass (horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium/baritone, and tuba) and percussion.

Register for Private Lessons

Private lessons offer students an opportunity to work one-on-one with a private teacher.

Beginning ages vary with instrument.
Lesson times are scheduled individually with the child's teacher.

What is the cost to enroll in the CSA?

A one-time $25 registration fee per student for Class Levels 1-6, Chamber Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble.

Class Levels 1-6: A $200 membership fee per student for each ten-week session. (This includes participation in small-group lessons taught by professional teachers and performance opportunities.)

Chamber Orchestra: A $225 membership fee per student for each ten-week session. (This includes participation in small-group lessons taught by professional teachers and performance opportunities.)

Wind Ensemble: A $240 membership fee per student for each twelve-week session.

Private Lessons: $180 for each twelve-week session.​

Permission Slips and Waiver Forms
Both of the following forms need to be signed by the parents/guardians of each CSA student. Please turn in signed forms to your child(ren)'s teacher.
Where does the CSA meet?
The CSA meets at the Roland Dille Center for the Arts on the Minnesota State University Moorhead campus. Parking is available on the east side of the building.
