Registration for the
Summer 2024 Session

Parents and guardians of aspiring musicians are invited to register for the following:

*Please note that students can be enrolled concurrently in private lessons and either a CSA String Instrument Class or Chamber Orchestra.

When will the CSA String Instrument Classes and Chamber Orchestra meet?

The Summer 2024 Session will begin on

June 6, 2024 and conclude with CSA class performances and a Chamber Orchestra concert on August 15, 2024.

During the Summer Session, the CSA classes and Chamber Orchestra will meet on the following Thursdays:

  • June 6

  • June 13

  • June 20

  • June 27

  • July 11

  • July 18

  • July 25

  • August 1

  • August 8

  • August 15

​

Excluded date: July 4

Below is the class schedule for the

Summer 2024 Session. To register, click on the level:*

Classes for students who are in Level I:

Violin/Viola: 4:00-4:30

Cello/Bass: 4:00-4:30

Register for the CSA Chamber Orchestra

The CSA Chamber Orchestra is for violin, viola, cello, and string bass students who maintain the basic functions of playing with their peers and can fully read music. Students will learn how to follow a conductor.

Rehearsal time: Thursdays, 5:15-6:00

Register for CSA Private Lessons

Private lessons offer students an opportunity to work one-on-one with their own teacher.

 

In private lessons, students work on solos and specific playing techniques.

 

At the end of every session, students have the opportunity to perform in a recital in Fox Hall in the MSUM Roland Dille Center for the Arts.

Lesson times are scheduled by the student's teacher and parents/guardians.

What is the cost to enroll in the CSA?

  • Class Levels 1-6: A $200 membership fee per student for each ten-week session. (This includes participation in small-group lessons taught by professional teachers and performance opportunities.)

  • Chamber Orchestra: A $225 membership fee per student for each ten-week session. (This includes participation in small-group lessons taught by professional teachers and performance opportunities.)​

  • Class Levels 1-6 and Chamber Orchestra: A one-time $25 registration fee per student.

  • Private Lessons: 

    • Ten (10) 30-minute lessons: $150​

    • Fourteen (14) 30-minute lessons: $210

    • Ten (10) 45-minute lessons: $230

    • Fourteen (14) 45-minute lessons: $322

Permission Slips and Waiver Forms

Both of the following forms need to be signed by the parents/guardians of each CSA student. Please turn in signed forms to your child(ren)'s teacher.

 

  • Please note that hard copies also are available at your child(ren)'s first lesson.

  • These forms need to be filled out one time only. 

Where does the CSA meet?

The CSA meets at the Roland Dille Center for the Arts on the Minnesota State University Moorhead campus. Parking is available on the east side of the building.
