STRING AND WIND ENSEMBLES
CSA students have unique opportunities to learn how to play in a variety of musical ensembles. In doing so, students learn how to listen to each other in many different musical contexts.
Chamber Orchestra
Chamber Orchestra offers students opportunities to play ensemble music written for violin, viola, cello, and bass. Students learn how to play with each other under the guidance and artistry of a professional conductor. Skills learned in playing in a chamber orchestra apply to those needed to play in chamber ensembles and in larger symphony orchestras. Click here to register for the
Chamber Orchestra.
Chamber Ensembles
Chamber Ensembles consist of two or three students who play together. Each student has their own part in duets and trios. In these ensembles, there is no conductor; instead, students learn how to play with each other under the guidance and artistry of a teacher. Skills learned in playing in chamber ensembles apply to those needed to play in chamber orchestras and in larger symphony orchestras.

Chamber Ensembles are optional for students who are enrolled in the Chamber Orchestra. There is no separate registration for Chamber Ensembles.
Wind Ensemble
Beginning in the Fall 2024 Session, the Wind Ensemble offers students opportunities to play ensemble music written for woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments. Students learn how to play with each other under the guidance and artistry of a professional conductor. Skills learned in playing in a wind ensemble apply to those needed to play in chamber ensembles, larger wind symphonies, and symphony orchestras. Information about registering for the
